Is your computer failing to complete reinstalls?

If your system is unable to finish a reinstall either from Windows disks, recovery partition, or from recovery CD’s then it probably means that the hardware on your computer is failing and should be checked out by a technician.

Mike’s Question: How do I wipe and reinstall a laptop with a recovery CD?

If you have the recovery CD follow these steps:
1) Shutdown the laptop
2) Restart laptop looking for the key for “boot option” (usually one of the function keys or the Esc. key).
3) Boot from CD
4) Follow the instructions as they appear.
